I still remember the first time I saw The Lord of the Rings movies.
It was in the back of a van, on a portable DVD player that went back to the beginning of the movie if you accidentally bumped it. We had stuck a blanket to the car ceiling with Barbie bandaids to block out the sun, and we got all the way to Lothlorien… and bumped the DVD player.
Even though I didn’t finish the movie, I fell immediately in love with ALL things Lord of the Rings.
